Meet the movers and shakers behind the scenes at Wolf Lab

Composer & Sound Designer

Joe Dolezal

A self-professed sound nerd, Joe Dolezal studied composition at Australian National University’s School of Music. Joe is an active performer and composer for smaller experimental shows, music game events, and cross disciplinary art collaborations. Joe’s compositions incorporate classical and jazz techniques and take influence from Canberra’s transient but lively experimental rock and free improvisation scene.

As well as being the in-house composer and sound producer at Wolf Lab, Joe works as a film composer and sound artist. He has worked with The National Film and Sound Archive re- scoring historical Australian silent films, including The Braking of the Drought (1920), The Cheaters (1930), and The Man from Kangaroo (1920). Joe has worked with The Gallery of Australian Design composing and designing soundscapes for the international design exhibition, ‘Fashionably Early’, and the experimental runway show, ‘Consider What You Wear’. He has also worked for the Canberra Institute of Technology’s ‘Connect Retrospective Exhibition’.

Joe’s expertise provides Wolf Lab clients with an opportunity to take their project to the next level. His bespoke music and soundscapes bring stories to life, delivering a finished product of the highest quality. If you’re ready to take your project to a whole new level, ask for Joe’s involvement.
